Bonus point: Freeland’s appearing on CNN, widely understood as the basis for the fictional character’s “ACN” news channel in “The Newsroom.”

So what started as creative inspiration for Aaron Sorkin, which we’ll call art imitating life, has transformed into art-using-life-for-social-media-marketing?
